For October\u2019s gathering Build a Larger Table radio broadcast team will meet with Kutikuti,<\/a> the Finnish non-profit contemporary comics association and artist collective formed in Finland in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As guests we will have the comic authors  Hannele Richert<\/a>, Terhi Adler<\/a>, Johanna Rojola (roju)<\/a>, and Kati Rapia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dinner conversation live streaming will be available on Station of Commons website<\/a>, from 7:30 pm onwards (EET time zone) this Friday 31.10.2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pixelache<\/a> in collaboration with Station of Commons organises a series of dinners inviting diverse cultural and artistic collectives at Villa El\u00e4intarha<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Build a larger table<\/em> is a project which aims to gather in a relaxed environment, with food and drinks to hold conversations and share recipes on social sustainability and experiences on working together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These talks are broadcasted and shared to the public domain through the Station of Commons website<\/a>. An edited podcast will be accessible  later on Pixelache website and Soundcloud.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The title Build a larger table<\/em> comes from an apocryphal quote that says \u201cwhen you have more than you need build a larger table not a taller fence\u201d. The concept resonated with the intentions of this project, where we wanted to share a moment of togetherness and joy around food, in order to have conversations with collectives that have been shaping the cultural context in Helsinki for a long time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Build a larger table is part of Pixelache festival 2025. It is funded by City of Helsinki and Taike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kutikuti<\/a> <\/strong>is a non-profit contemporary comics association and artist collective formed in Finland in 2005. The core of Kutikuti consists of around 60 members who create, teach, and publish comics. Kutikuti has over a hundred supporting members around the world and has quickly become one of the most recognised stars of the Finnish comics scene abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Station of Commons<\/a><\/strong>: Initiated in 2020, Station of Commons (SoC) investigates the possibilities of reappropriating technology within public space. SoC stands for radical alternative strategies to the neo-liberal system in terms of digital and independent means of production, communication and distribution. It operates as a research platform producing a thinking space around digital commoning. Station of Commons has collaborated with manifesta13, documenta fifteen, Miss Read art book fair and Afrikadaa among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SoC is a collaborative initiative by Gr\u00e9goire Rousseau (Helsinki), Juan Gomez (Geneva), Minerva Juolahti, Alain Ryckelynck, Eddie Choo Wen Yi and Mathilde Palenius.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
